Vie et Mort

This collection of work explores the relationship between Life and Death. Using watercolor, gouache, fine liner pens, and preserved insects and flora, I tell their story within the confines of shadowboxes. 

Some may think it is a story of revenge, hate, and sabotage. But that is not this story. 

Life and Death have been in love for longer than we have words to describe. They work simultaneously to keep balance in the world and while each finds the others' work strange, they know the world can not thrive without them both. And they wouldn't want it any other way. 

Each piece comes framed in a shadowbox, ready to hang in your home. I will donate $10 from the sale of each piece the Bee Girl Organization, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to "educate and inspire communities to conserve bees, their flowers, and our countryside".
